WIBO Brings 16 Week Workshop to Restoration

Workshops in Business Opportunities (WIBO) has teamed up with Restoration to offer a 16-week business workshop series at the Economic Solutions Center (ESC) located at 1368 Fulton St. WIBO is a Harlem based entrepreneur-training program that has propelled countless New Yorkers towards self-sufficiency since 1966. Over 65% of its alumni have been African American, and over 70% women. Current CEO Stephen Jackson is not only an experienced business trainer, but a serial entrepreneur himself.

Participants will benefit from instructors who are experts in their respective fields, a network of successful alumni, and planning and strategy assistance. Topics covered in the 16-week course include market research, promotion, credit and financing, financial and business counseling. Financial counseling services will be provided by the Economic Solutions Center and business resources will be provided by the Brooklyn Business Center for program participants.

WIBO’s comprehensive teaching model assists students with the various steps necessary for starting and growing a sustainable business. Participants in the workshop will receive assistance with access to capital, writing business plans, MWBE certifications, business mentoring, referrals to pro bono legal services and more.
