Mental Health

We provide the opportunity for every Central Brooklynite to prosper mentally and emotionally. A thriving, self-sustaining community is dependent not just on the physical health of its residents, but on their emotional and mental health as well. Resources such as counseling and support networks are both essential and often inaccessible for many populations, particularly in minority neighborhoods.

Through providing these services, Restoration is dedicated to filling a long-awaited need in the communities it supports and advancing equity throughout Central Brooklyn. Restoration was one of 14 community-based organizations selected to receive funding through the Mayor’s Social Innovation Fund to implement Connections to Care, the largest public-private partnership of ThriveNYC. Through Connections to Care, a five-year initiative, we train dedicated staff members and partnered with experienced mental health providers to offer accessible, quality mental health support to all Central Brooklyn residents in need.

During the pandemic and after, we are sharing resources on the ways to handle a number of mental and emotional challenges via email.
