“The More Things Change, The More Things Stay the Same” Art Exhibition debuts at Restoration
On Wednesday July 27th, RestorationART in partnership with Fulton Art Fair will present an art exhibit titled “The More Things Change, The More They Stay the Same.” This exhibition will showcase artists from Central Brooklyn with pieces that depict the past and its relation to current political, social, and economic events. More than 20 artists are represented in the show. The artwork featured here, a piece by Gloria Braxton titled “1963 Freedom Day participants or 2018 Black Lives Matter activist?,” embodies the spirit of the show.
The Fulton Art Fair is an arts-focused nonprofit organization. It was founded in 1958 for the exhibition and promotion of fine and performing arts created by African American artists and those belonging to other strands of the African diaspora. Its mission is to provide a platform for established and emerging artists from Brooklyn to show their work.
The exhibition will commence at 7pm in Restoration’s lobby at 1368 Fulton Street.
