PREPPING FOR THANKSGIVING: DELIVERING TURKEYS AND PRODUCE TO NYCHA RESIDENTS
Restoration joined partners Arker/Progressive and OmniReliant to distribute turkeys and produce to 2600 families of nine former public housing developments in Bed Stuy, Crown Heights, Williamsburgh and downtown Brooklyn now going through rehabilitation as part of the Permanent Affordability Commitment Together (PACT) program. The nine developments are part of Brooklyn/Williamsburg Housing Preservation and are home to more than 6,300 residents. All nine developments are being managed and rehabilitated by a partnership made up of Restoration, The Arker Companies, Omni New York and Dabar Development Partners.
Working with Warren Street Tenant Association President Jo Ann Brown, we distributed fresh and local collard greens, potatoes, cabbage, corn, apples and sweet potatoes from the Common Market, a regional food hub.
