The NYC Department of Social Services (DSS) will be onsite to help residents who experienced electronic benefits theft between October 1, 2022 and August 21, 2023.
The deadline to file claims for replacement benefits is Tuesday, October 31, 2023. Learn more about how to get assistance with benefits theft.
DSS only processes claim requests for electronically-stolen benefits that were issued by DSS. If your electronically-stolen benefits were issued in another New York County, you must apply for replacement in that County. Visit OTDA’s website for information on submitting a claim in other counties.
This event is hosted in conjunction with State Senator Jabari Brisport and The Office of Council Member Chi Ossé.
The Department of Social Services (DSS) is comprised of the administrative units of the NYC Human Resources Administration (HRA) and the Department of Homeless Services (DHS).
