The second Climate is the New Economy event will focus on Transportation – diving into the case study of the Clean Transit Access Program (CTAP). If you’ve ever been to NYC, you know that some parts of the city are more easily accessible than others. And while many people have heard of the concept of ‘Food Deserts’ – areas where food is scarce – ‘Transit Deserts’ also exist and affect every aspect of community life.
That’s where CTAP comes in. Join us to learn how startups like Dollaride that have partnered with community-focused organizations like BKLVLUP and funders like NYSERDA to address these challenges from the neighborhood level up. CTAP creates a pathway for local commuter van drivers and fleet owners to transition to electric vehicles, laying the foundation for a more sustainable and equitable future and moving us towards rebuilding a new type of economy that works for everybody. If we can do this in the transportation space, why not food? Energy? Let’s work towards this new future together.
