Bedford Stuyvesant Restoration Corporation to Host Annual Robert F. Kennedy Memorial Party

On December 8th, kids will take over Restoration Plaza. The Robert F. Kennedy Memorial Holiday party will be held on December 8th from 9AM-12PM in Restoration Plaza. For more than 50 years, this event has welcomed hundreds of children into the Plaza for performances, holiday crafts, and pictures with Santa. This community tradition was started by the family of the late U.S. senator and one of Restoration’s founders, Robert F. Kennedy, and continues to celebrate the holidays in Central Brooklyn while promoting children’s literacy.

Engaging every child in the community in reading has been important in the legacy and popularity of this party. Kids will be treated to storytelling from guest presenters, performances, a gift bag of children book titles. While the kids are busy, parents can take advantage of The Economic Solutions Center’s free financial health assessment. The Holiday Spirit will be in full effect with a visit from Santa, Holiday Photo Booth, and many more holiday festivities.
